Pagetic Osteosarcoma Presenting with Pathological Fracture
Osteosarcoma is a primary skeletal malignancy affecting mostly the younger age group. Here we present a case of a 52-year-old male who presented with a pathological fracture of the distal end of the humerus which histologically turned out to be osteosarcoma. On further workup, he was found to be suffering from Paget’s disease, which was asymptomatic until he had the malignant transformation. 1% of Paget’s disease is prone to malignant transformation. Prognosis of this late-onset osteosarcoma is not as good as its counterpart in the younger age groups.
