Meniscus for long was considered a “vestigial” structure1. That concept has now been refuted and its integrity is now respected as being of great importance. It contributes to load distribution2, knee stability3 and arthritis prevention4, and is now considered vital in the healthy knee5,6. In tears previously deemed unsalvageable, advancements in surgical techniques and biologic augmentation methods have shown documented healing7,8,9,10.
